House rules

Dear guests, welcome to the Hotel Brunnenhof!

Our house rules are meant to help us to get along well during your stay. By treating the rooms properly, you help us to be able to provide you and the following guests with a nice room in the future. For this purpose, we have written down some important information and rules. We hope for your understanding. Our house rules and the general business terms are part of the accomodation contract. By booking our hotel, signing the registration card and doing prepayments in full or half you are accepting the house rules and the general business terms.

We ask all our guests to behave in a way that does not disturb other guests an our neighbors.

  • From 10 pm onwards, the volume in all rooms must be kept to a minimum.
  • Please also keep quiet in the corridors and stairwells.
  • Drunken guests may be expelled from the hotel.
  • The Child and Youth Protection Act applies in all areas.

General information

  • If you need help or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our reception is open 24 hours.
  • At check-in, 1 key is issued for each room. Please leave the key at the reception when leaving the hotel. The loss of a key means that we have to change the lock. The charges will be € 150.00 for changing the lock. On the day of departure, please return the key to the reception at 11:00 am latest.
  • The hotel reserves the right to check the credit limit of the credit card provided
  • During your stay at the hotel, we ask to behave in an environmentally friendly manner, especially when using heating, water and electricity.
  • The hotel staff is authorized to enter the hotel room during the guest’s stay for the purpose of cleaning or doing repair work. By hanging the red card outside the door, the staff will not clean your room.
  • Please close all windows when leaving the room to avoid damage caused by storms, etc.
  • Please keep windows closed when the heating is on.
  • The TV and all lights should be switched off when leaving the room.
  • For safety reasons, open fires, smoking and lighting candles is strictly prohibited in the elevator, stairwells and corridors, breakfast room, sanitary facilities and hotel rooms. We would like to point out that costs may be incurred in the event of a violation.
  • All items of furniture in your room may be used by you as intended. Please treat all furnishings and fixtures with care. It is your responsibility to treat the room with care and to ensure, that your fellow travellers also adhere to these rules.
  • The hotel has the right to terminate accommodation contracts with immediate effect and to expel the guest or group of guests from the premises in exercise its domiciliary rights, if the guest /group of guests harms the reputation or security of the hotel, is suspected of committing criminal offenses or harasses, repeatedly disturbs or endangers other guests, our staff or neighbors.
  • In particular, repeated violations of the house rules by the guest / group of guests, as well as damage, soiling or theft of hotel property, shall entitle the hotel to terminate the contract immediately. This also applies if the guest uses the hotel room for a purpose other than that agreed. In these cases, the guest may be obliged to pay compensation and to pay for accommodation that has been already used, as well as to pay for accommodation that has not been used in accordance with the cancellation regulations.

Parking

  • You can park your car or two-wheeler in our courtyard for the duration of your stay. There are 4 parking spaces provided and marked on our property for parking your vehicle. We ask you to park in a space-saving manner. Should it be necessary, you will be politely asked to move your vehicle as instructed by a hotel employee. Parking your vehicle outside this marked area is prohibited and may result in your vehicle being removed. The removal fee wil be charged to guest.
  • The parking lot in the courtyard can only be used from 6:00 am – 22:00 pm, as most of our rooms face the courtyard.
  • On the day of departure, the rental of the parking space ends at 11 am.
  • Please note, that the StVO (Strassenverkehrsordnung – road traffic regulations) applies throughout our hotel grounds. Our property is private and subject to our house rules. The instructions of the hotel staff regarding the parking of your vehicle must be followed. Escape and rescue routes, which are marked as such, must be kept clear and may also lead to the immediate removal of your vehicle in the event of a violation. The removal fee wil be charged to guest.
  • You need permission to park in the courtyard outside your booked stay. Parking your vehicle on our property is at your own risk. The courtyard and parking area are neither guarded nor are they protected by special security measures against third-party interference. We accept no liability for damage to the vehicle or its contents.

Liability

  • Nobody damages or loses things on purpose. However, it can happen to anyone that something is broken or lost. We would be pleased if you could inform us of the damage or loss. That way we can try to resolve it during your stay.
  • The hotel is liable for damages caused by gross negligence on the part of vicarious agents.

Safety and security

  • Entrances, stairs and corridors must always be kept clear as escape routes.
  • Guests are not permitted to use electrical appliances in our hotel, with the exception of hair dryers and electric shavers. This applies in particular to immersion heaters, hotplates, irons etc.
  • Flat irons must not be placed on furniture or carpets when hot!
  • For safety reasons, it is not permitted to lean out of the windows; they may only be opened for ventilation.
  • The window sills may not be used as a seat and nothing may be thrown out of the windows! Please do not store anything there either.
  • It is forbidden to climb in or out the windows. The terrace on the 4th floor is no public space and guests are not allowed to use this area. The escape ladders may only be used in case of emergency.
  • The maximum load capacity of the elevators must be observed. In the event of improper use, the hotel accepts no liability and any costs incurred as a result must be paid directly on site.

Escape routes and emergency exits

  • Once a fire alarm has been triggered, it is no longer permitted to go to the rooms.
  • You must leave the hotel as quickly as possible. In this case, only the stairwells may be used, but under no circumstances the elevators.
  • Escape plans are displayed on the room doors and in the corridors. The escape meeting point is opposite the hotel.
  • If the staircase is inaccessible, please stay in your room, close the door and do not lock it. Inform the reception desk by calling the internal telephone number “Reception” and make yourself noticed at the open window.

Valuables

  • Cash, securities and other valuables can be deposited in the hotel safe at reception on request.
  • The hotel accepts no liability for the loss of valuables, like jewelry, cash or other items of value. It is the responsibilty of the guest to take care of their valueables.

Lost and found

  • Please report lost or found items to reception or hand them in.
  • If you lost something, please report this immediately to reception. In such cases, our reception is available 24/7 on the hotel telephone number. We will check in our files, if somebody found it.

Smoking

  • Open fires and candles are prohibited in the entire hotel area.
  • Smoking is generally prohibited throughout the hotel without exception. Smoking is only permitted outside at the entrance doors and in front of the hotel.
  • Cannabis/marijuana consumption is prohibited on the hotel grounds. As we have families with children as guests, we cannot tolerate this.
  • If it is discovered that smoking has taken place in the rooms, an extra cleaning fee of € 150.00 will be charged to neutralize the odor. If we need to block the room for two days, in order to wash all fabric, we will charge the the daily rate at the expense of the guest.
  • Dismantling or manipulating of the smoke detectors is strictly forbidden. We will have to replace the the smoke detector at a charge of € 250.00 in order to restore the full functionality of our safety equipment and fire alarm system. This amount is due and payable in cash immediately upon becoming aware of the tampering. Should the manipulation of the security system only become apparent after the guest’s departure, the lump sum will be increased to € 350.00 to compensate for the administrative act.
  • Damage such as burn marks and holes in or on furniture, flooring, bed linen, tablecloths etc. will be charged at the replacement value.
  • If a fire alarm is triggered by unauthorized smoking because smoke detectors have been tampered with, the hotel accepts no liability. The resulting costs are to be borne by the person responsible.
  • The hotel reserves the right to claim higher damages if, for example, the hotel is charged for a fire department intervention or a fire caused by unauthorized smoking has caused damage to hotel property.

Alcohol, illegal intoxicants and weapons

  • The increased consumption of alcohol and the bringing of drugs and weapons of any kind will result in an immediate ban from the hotel and property. In any case, we will immediately notify the relevant authorities.

Rooms

  • Please be considerate of the rest of other guests in the hotel and avoid noise and disturbances of any kind, especially after 10 pm.
  • Please report any complaints immediately to reception.
  • Children under the age of 18 may only stay in the hotel if accompanied and supervised by adults. The legal guardians or the booker are liable for the behavior or damage and consequential damage caused by children
  • Any soiling in the room caused by food and/or drink will be removed at the guest’s expense. This also applies to packaging, outer cartons and especially empties. Soiling, that can no longer be cleaned, such as in mattresses, on the carpet or on furniture, will be charged to the guest at replacement value.
  • Guests are not entitled to make changes to the hotel rooms or their furnishings. In particular, rearranging the furniture is generally prohibited.
  • Our rooms are cleaned daily. We ask you to keep the rooms as clean as possible. Extraordinary soiling requires high cleaning costs, which unfortunately have to be charged.
  • We ask you not to eat hot or strong-smelling food in your room. The smells of the food will be absorbed into the textiles. You are welcome to sit down in our lounge at any time and enjoy your meal at the table. Talk to our team. We can also provide you with plates and cutlery and heat something up in the microwave.
  • Cooking food, washing and drying laundry in the room is not permitted.
  • Please note, that additional costs per hour up to loss of revenue per day may be charged depending on damage/expense.

Shower / WC

  • To protect the environment, the towels will only be changed if you leave them on the bathroom floor.
  • For technical reasons, no hygiene products or leftover food may be disposed in the toilet. Please do not throw sanitary towels and tampons into the toilet. Instead use the sanitary bags provided for this purpose and dispose of them in the waste bin!

Visitors

  • Persons not registered at the hotel are only permitted to enter the rooms after prior registration at reception. The hotel may refuse access in individual cases. Overnight stays by persons not registered at the hotel are strictly prohibited. The key may not be handed over to strangers.
  • The stay of unregistered persons in the hotel room after 10:00 pm is not permitted and, in the event of non-compliance, will be regarded as consent by the registered hotel guest to chargeable accommodation and will be invoiced. Each additional person will be charged at the current adult rate at reception.

Breakfast

  • The breakfast buffet is offered daily from 07:00 to 10:00 am.
  • If you did not book breakfast in advance when you reserved your room, you can book it on site. Please understand that guests who have booked in advance will be given priority when it comes to table allocation.
  • It is not permitted to take food and drinks out of the breakfast room unless the hotel allows this.
  • If you still wish to do so, this can be arranged with our team for an additional charge.
